Dr Youngja knew what happened inside the body. Candace knew what happened in real life. Even the best formula could still end up forgotten at the back of the cupboard.
Whenever Candace wanted to know whether something was actually worth taking, she asked her mum. Luckily, Dr Youngja Hwang Park is a Korean scientist with over 35 years experience in functional food science and pharmacology. She knows what the body can use, which ingredients work better together and which are mostly there to make the label look impressive.
For years, that clarity stayed in the family. Candace thought everyone deserved a scientist they could ask.

Dr. Youngja H. Park, Co-founder, Chief Innovation Officer
has spent 48 years as a Korean pharmacist and over 35 years studying how the body absorbs and uses nutrients. PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology, University of Texas; Former Pharmacist, Seoul National University Hospital; Former Professor, Emory University School of Medicine; Former Professor, Korea University College of Pharmacy.
Candace Dannenbaum, Co-founder & CEO
Before RIN, Candace was a Managing Director at BlackRock and spent nearly two decades making complex financial products clearer, more transparent and easier to use. At RIN, she applies that same instinct to Korean inner beauty, making the science easy to follow, bringing the category out of the supplement aisle and creating products people want to take again.
